A bit of background about myself before I review the shoes. I would have done a few marathons in the 80's and 90's and since then have pretty much stopped road running. I've now started doing all my running off road. While I'm not competitive anymore I still have my own little route that I do once a week and I like to do a faster time even if I am getting older.

I had been running in my old pair of Asics runners the cushioning has long since left them but the surface I run on is very soft. The big difference I found with these shoes was the confidence I felt both with the grip and the profile of the shoe. This shoe is lower to the ground than my Asics and as a result I felt a lot more confident particularly on the descents, The grip on the shoe is also very good which helps on the wetter days.

I was told in the store when I bought the shoe that they should last between 500- 800k and I've already put 850k on them. They still feel as good as the day I bought them so I'm reluctant to change them but as a shoe I couldn't recommend them enough.
