Product Review 361 Spire 3

So 361is the new brand in Ireland that has a lot of people talking. They've been around since 2003 but are only really making waves in Ireland this year. We've had them in Amphibian King since February and they've become a really popular brand.

The spire 3 is a high mileage training shoe in the neutral category. So it's competing with the likes of the Brooks Glycerin, Asics Nimbus, Saucony Triumph, New Balance 1080.

We found the shoe to be a narrow fit in the standard D width fitting so someone with a wide foot may not like the fit of the shoe. It's probably most similar to the Asics in terms of the fit although the toe box is definitely roomier. They've made a big fuss about the upper been highly breathable and whilst you can definitely feel the breeze a bit more I'm not sure here in Ireland how that's going to benefit us.

The midsole is very cushioned however we found that it maintains it's cushioning properties very well, some shoes you can have them in the shop and they feel great but that very soft feel leaves the shoe quick enough the opposite is true with the spire.

The upper is relatively seem free which is good for anyone with bunions or corns that they are worried about. We are at the Dublin Marathon expo with 361 and will have loads of Spires and the rest of their range their to try on as well if you're around drop over and say hello.

    Hi there,

I’m currently training for DCM in the Asics nimbus but after the long runs I’m finding it very tight in the toe box.

I was recommended them by a different store do you think the spire would help with this as you mentioned it was wider in the toe box?
