Saucony Echelon 8 Running Shoes
The Echelon 8's are a protective shoe with a wide range of needs, thanks to the feel-good cushioning, stable ride, and generous but secure fit.
Engineered Mesh Upper
With a lightweight breathable mesh construction, the Saucony Echelon 8 Running Shoes ensures breathable comfort at all times. The upper features improved, wider mesh perforations that allow a constant flow of cool air throughout the shoe, keeping heat build-up to a minimum and making sure you stay cool, dry, and comfortable at all times. Further enhancing the upper, are the engineered 3D overlays that provide strategic flexibility and strengthen the structure of the shoe. Furthermore, the enhancement of the 3D-Printed heel counter provides added backing for a perfect, secure feeling fit. Completing the upper is the traditional lacing system that provides a secure, locked-down fit.
PWRRUN Cushioning Midsole
Using their innovative PWRRUN in Echelon 8, Saucony has developed a midsole that will give you the next generation of cushioning. PWRRUN provides lightweight and springy cushioning to keep your feet comfortable at all times with just the right amount of softness, yet stays responsive enough to tackle as many miles as you wish. Utilising improved FormFit technology that combined a new and streamlined mesh to optimize breathability with a lighter, thinner internal construction for a comfortable and custom fit. The dynamic fit system adapts to the shape and motion of the runner's foot, eliminating any unwanted movement within the shoe so that performance is optimised. Not only does FormFit work to provide a comfortable and supportive fit but, it is also highly flexible and hardwearing increasing the overall durability and comfort over long periods of time. Not only this but the Echelon 8's have an Orthotic-friendly sockliner that provides ultra-plush step-in comfort, and can be removed to accommodate after-market insoles.
TRIFLEX Outsole
For unstoppable traction and durability, Saucony's TRI-FLEX Crystal Rubber is employed on the outsole. The rubber is able to form a solid, strong connection with the ground that provides a firm base for you to push off from, making your gait cycle more efficient. The multi-directional grooves are placed strategically to improve the flexibility and durability of the sole, and will also improve efficiency in takeoffs, landings and changes of direction.
About Saucony
In 1898, four young businessmen opened the Saucony Shoe Manufacturing Company in Kutztown, Pennsylvania. By 1910, they were turning out 800 pairs of shoes a day from their two-story brick factory on the Saucony Creek. Throughout the early and mid-1900's, running became the focus of serious athletes and at that time, there weren't any high-performance running shoes. Saucony were determined to make a shoe that could change the way people run. In 1969, Saucony found a new home in Cambridge, Mass and have been loyal Bostonians ever since. Saucony exists for runners as runners inspire them and bring them new ideas. They drive the design and engineering while keeping them competitive. This focus and passion fuels Saucony as they strive to create the best running shoes and apparel on the planet.
