Asics Nimbus 22 women’s

We have had the 22 in store now for a little over a month. Existing nimbus customers have definitely noticed the differences. This is a fairly big change for Asics. 

The upper encloses the feet without becoming too rigid. The upper has become a bit thinner and thanks to this knows to offer more breathability than the Nimbus 21. Even though the material is thinner, the upper has also become more durable because of the use of Monofilament. Monofilament is a thread made of one single fibre, making it very strong and thin. Thanks to this technology you will experience more comfort and will be able to use the Nimbus 22 for a longer period of time. The Ortholite X-40 sockliner offers extra comfort and cushioning, but also wicks moisture away, so your feet stay dry and cool when running.

Especially the midsole has undergone a few changes. The midsole is made out of a combination of FlyteFoam and FlyteFoam Propel. An additional 10% more cushioning material has been added to the midsole, which principally increases the cushioning at the heel. By adding this extra cushioning material the shoe has grown about 2 mm in height. The offset, however, stays the same and is 10mm for men and 13mm for women. The weight also hasn't changed much, even though more cushioning material has been used. This weight loss is achieved thanks to the use of more FlyteFoam Propel material instead of regular FlyteFoam material. The responsive FlyteFoam Propel is a lot lighter of weight than FlyteFoam. The famous Gel technology is also found in the Nimbus 22 at the heel and forefoot.

The ASICS Gel Nimbus 22 features Gender Specific Cushioning. The Nimbus 22 for men offers more rigidity at torsion movement inside of the shoes. This is because men in general are heavier. The midsole of the female version of the shoes is a bit softer. Last but not least, the AHAR outsole has also been renewed: more and wider Flex grooves have been added to the sole, making the running shoes more flexible. This helps to ensure a flexible heel-to-toe transition of the feet.
