The Hoka Arahi 4 Running Shoe boasts incredible breathability for maximum comfort. The exceptionally lightweight, breathable updated mesh encourages cool air to circulate, removing uncomfortable heat build-up for a healthy environment that your foot can thrive in. The lightweight material hugs the foot securely and comfortably for the optimum fit whilst plush padding has been added to the tongue to prevent chaffing and discomfort. The enhanced midfoot lockdown works in tandem with the traditional lace system for a locked-in, secure feel that delivers a nimble and supportive ride.
Firm EVA Midsole
Lightweight and cushioning go hand-in-hand in the Hoka Arahi 4. A firm EVA midsole works in tandem with Hoka's signature J-Frame technology; designed to enhance the active foot frame and deliver support and protection at the same time as guiding the foot without the use of rigid materials the Hoka Arahi 4 delivers lightweight support and maximum comfort. The Early Stage Meta-Rocker chosen for the midsole is specifically designed with a low heel-to-toe differential and works like a rocking chair for your foot which allows the foot to be guided effectively through the natural gait cycle providing a smoother ride. Flat waisted geometry provides inherent stability to help gait efficiency and offer a more locked-in feel whilst running as you strive for the best results and performance. Designed for runners who have flexible arches that over-pronate the Hoka Arahi 4 features a firmer EVA foam for additional support underneath the arch to prevent the foot from over-pronating.
Zonal Rubber Outsole
The outsole is made from a durable rubber which will keep the bottom of the shoe from wearing away easily. Zonal rubber has been strategically placed in key areas along the outsole that are more likely to wear to give it extra durability, making sure you can turn to this shoe time after time for your running sessions.
Who Are HOKA One One
Hoka One One is the brainchild of two gravity sports enthusiasts Jean-Luc Diard and Nicolas Mermoud. Both men have been adventuring for as long as they can remember, and their trail running experiences have taken them across the globe. Both Jean-Luc and Nicolas are committed to the values of freedom and enjoyment and feel that this is part of the running experience whether running on the trail or in the city. With this in mind they started to look at the variables that affected the performance of different types of runners. They quickly came to an important conclusion; fatigue, impacts and muscle strains were challenges that runners of all stripes had to deal with every day. So Jean-Luc and Nicolas came up with a brilliant idea, why not design a shoe that would help to alleviate these problems - so that freedom and enjoyment could be guaranteed every time you go running! From that idea Hoka One One was born. The word Hoka is derived from the ancient Maori language and roughly translated to "now it is time to fly". That's just how it feels to run in a pair of Hoka One One shoes; with each and every step, your foot flies. Today's runners from around the world are learning about the benefits of Hoka One One, they have been used by marathon winners. 50 miles, 100 miles and even 2000+ miles ultra-runners as well as runners just like you or I, who want to enjoy running, perform at their peak and feel that important sense of freedom whilst maintaining top physical performance and protecting against shocks, jolts and injuries. So put your best foot forward, it's time to fly!
