New Years Resolutions

Posted by Damian McKeever on

How to stick to your new years running resolution.   1. Put a goal down I know some people say they are only running for weight loss or fitness and they have no interest in "racing". However if there is an end goal in sight and you are running and training towards that the weight loss or fitness comes as part of that. The race at the end of 8 weeks is your way of getting fit. 2. Buddy system. Ideally join a club or the many running groups that are around now, not only will you get some great...

Gift Vouchers

Posted by Damian McKeever on

It's that time of year again when Gift Voucher sales go through the roof. So just wanted to do a little piece about Amphibian King Gift Vouchers. Some companies for whatever reason make gift vouchers very complicated and theres no need. So this is Asics newest greatest shoe. Asics have spent a lot of time and money researching this shoe that doesn't always translate to the best shoe ever. Previously i've run in the Brooks Transcend (which I loved but it wasn't a very popular shoe) and my go to shoe for the past few years has always been the...

Brooks Ravena 6

Posted by Damian McKeever on

Brooks Ravena is a new enough shoe to us here in Amphibian King. We've been selling it's older brother the Brooks Adrenaline for close to 10 years and it's been a great shoe for us. Customers love it but the Ravena we've only had for the last 2 years. In that time it's built up a bit of a customer base. Brooks class it as more of a guidance shoe that an out and out Support shoe the way the Adrenaline would be.  I've tried plenty of Brooks shoes in my time mainly their support ones as I tend to...
