
So we're 4 weeks into the plan. I'll be honest I haven't made all the sessions but we haven't missed the speed sessions. There's usually about 6 of us turn up on the Wednesday night sessions 6.30pm from shoreline in Bray.
The last one we did was 3k warm up and 6*800 meters. So we did this on the southern cross road in bray as there's less traffic and it's lit up quiet well in that part. The only problem is knowing distances. We thought the road was bang on 1k but turns out it's bang on 1 mile!! so the first 800 we did was actually 1.2k but eventually we got to grips with the distance. I struggled through it but we got it done. I'm still way off the times for breaking 20 minutes but I do feel like I'm getting stronger.
The important thing is Michael Bolger was out on Wednesday and I broke his spirit. He hared off as Michael does for the first 400 meters than crumbled like a paper cup for the last 400 meters.
I may not break 20 minutes but I'll break Michael Bolgers spirit.
